The Deputy Information Minister for Public Affairs, Daniel Sando, has launched a sarcastic criticism on the political leader of the opposition Alternative National Congress (ANC), Alexander Benedict Cummings (ABC).
Sando wielded Mr. Cummings as a ‘spineless political dwarf, who bears no weight in whatsoever discourse concerning the running of a well-organized government.’
Sando made the description of Cummings to journalists on Tuesday, June 10, at the ministry’s regular press briefing in Monrovia.
He described the ANC arrowhead as a “political dwarf, who has zero weight in the country’s political sphere.”
Up to press time last night about 10: 30, Mr. Cummings nor the ANC responded to Sando’s equating its pollical leader to ‘dwarf.’
But while emphasizing accountability amid the ongoing investigation of the December 18, 2024, arson attack on the Capitol Building in Monrovia, Sando said, “Cummings has no pedigree to put out citizens in the streets to protest against the government.”
Sando’s reaction comes after Mr. Cummings labeled the government action to arrest and imprison five sitting lawmakers, including the former speaker J. Fonati Koffa, as “disgraceful and shameful.”
Meanwhile, Koffa and the four co-defendants appeared on in the Monrovia City Count on Tuesday, June 10, to listen to the testimony of government first witness.
The case continues.
