Road rehabilitations and other meaningful projects, have boosted national campaign promise in parts of Maryland County.

Austin Bledee Taylor, is meanwhile, holding grounds on his campaign promise to improve road connectivity in Karluway District #3.

The road project from Karloken to Dorrobo aim to ease transportation woes for locals, especially farmers, and also boost economic activity.

On Friday, February 20, 2026, Desmond Dugbeh, District Coordinator for Rep. Taylor’s Home Office, spoke of the poor road connectivity, which he said, has long been a challenge for residents.

The community was thrilled with the initiative, which they viewed as “timely and welcoming.”

By that, some of the residents have vowed to support Rep. Taylor in any future elections.

The road project is part of Taylor’s broader efforts to redirect his legislative salary towards district developments, including education, healthcare, and infrastructure.

Other initiatives include construction of town halls; installation of hand pumps; support volunteer teachers, and traditional midwives.

As the road rehabilitations continue, Barrobo and surrounding towns are expected to benefit from the initiative.
