RGC Health Team Receives 2 Vehicles

The River Gee County Health Team has officially turned over two donated vehicles to the county administration.

The move, officials say, will boost healthcare delivery and improve government operations in the county.

The presentation was held in Fish Town on Thursday, July 3, 2026, with county officials, health workers and partners in attendance.

County health authorities said, the vehicles will be used to improve the movement of health workers, transport medical supplies, and support emergency referrals from rural clinics to Fish Town.

“The vehicles came at a critical time. They will help us reach hard-to-reach communities faster; move essential drugs and equipment, and respond quickly when there is a health emergency.”

Officials said, the vehicles will also strengthen coordination between the County Health Team and the County Administration in the delivery of essential public services beyond health.

Health authorities expressed gratitude to the donors and implementing partners for the generous contribution.

They said, reliable transportation has been one of the biggest challenges to provide consistent healthcare in some of the distant districts, especially during the rainy season when many roads become impassable.

“This donation means more mothers can reach facilities in time; more vaccines can be delivered, and more supervision can happen at the facility level.”

The County Administration received the vehicles, and commended the Health Team and its partners for their continued commitment to improve healthcare and support development.
