Rep. Yogboh Resigns From CMC‎

Montserrado County District 12 Representative, Jerry K. Yogboh, has officially resigned from the Citizens’ Movement for Change (CMC), effective immediately.

‎‎In a letter dated April 18, 2026, addressed to the National Chairman of the party, James M. Yougie, Yogboh cited a lack of due process in the party leadership’s recent decision to impose an indefinite suspension on him.

‎‎He described the party’s actions as “procedurally questionable” and inconsistent with democratic principles.

‎‎Yogboh stated that his resignation was necessary to protect his personal integrity and uphold his independent mandate as an elected official.

‎‎He further emphasized that he cannot subordinate his constitutional obligations to “partisan positions” that conflict with his duty to the state.

‎‎Representative Yogboh’s decision followed his indefinite suspension by the Citizens’ Movement for Change (CMC)  after he affixed his signature to a resolution supporting the removal of former Representative Yekeh Kolubah from the 55th National Legislature. By: Gabriel Sagacious Birr/DN NEWS
