Rep. Jurry Remembers The Role Of Marylanders

-- Receives Flower For ‘Excellent Performance’

Representative P. Mike Jurry, has attributed his political success over the years to the support he continues to receive from Marylanders both at home and abroad.

Jurry said the support and patronage of his people made him not only a distinguished and strong political leader, but a national icon destined to make the country great.

He promised to ever remain grateful for their role, and promised to seek their interest in a most appropriate and honorable manner at all time. Rep. Jurry appealed to residents in his district to hold together and vehemently resist every attempt by detractors to tear them apart for whatever reason.

Jurry spoke in Monrovia on Thursday, January 15, when he was honored by employees of the Legislative Budget Department on his birthday for “excellent legislative performance, and the concern he continues to show for the wellbeing of others.”

Earlier, the newly appointed head of the Department, Othello S. Tarbah, lauded Rep. Jurry for working “harmoniously with his colleagues in the legislature to push the agenda of the country forward.”

Mr. Tarbah said Rep. Jurry has not only proven to be the brain behind the success of his Department, but strongly committed to the wellbeing of its employees.

While presenting a birthday card, the portrait of Jurry and his wife, and other items as birthday gifts, Tarbah called on the honoree to continue the hard work in the interest of the both Houses.

He said employees of the Legislative Budget Office has nothing substantial to offer Rep. Jurry on his birthday, but their concern matters greatly.

The event was attended by staff of the legislature, colleagues and a cross- section of well-wishers, friends and relatives.

Rep. Jurry is a household name in the legislature, a charismatic leader and outspoken lawmaker, who has served on the committee on Ways Means and Finance, which he currently head.

He was elected for the first time in 2017 as Representative of the county electoral district #1 with overwhelming majority, and reelected in 2023 with the same margin.
