Bong County Electoral District #3 Representative, Josiah Marvin Cole, and the county’s Senator, Prince Kermue Moye, have reportedly clashed over ‘policy differences.’

In the main time, Cole has launched a mocking attack on Sen. Moye, thereby undermining his chance of winning the next election.

Cole has urged voters in the lower part of the county to reject Moye at the polls in the 2029 elections.

The two men, according to Rep. Cole, are politically fighting over “years of failed leadership and unmet promises.”

Rep. Cole accused Sen. Moye of delivering little tangible development to the people he represents.

He argued that the county has stagnated under the Moye’s watch over the years.

“What has Sen. Moye done for the people of Lower Bong County?” Cole rhetorically asked.

He claimed that residents have endured hardship without meaningful progress despite repeated political assurances from the office of the senator.

Cole pointed to the December 2023, Totota tanker explosion as a symbol of “poor accountability.”

He alleged that funds reportedly raised after the tragedy remain unaccounted for, further eroding public trust in Moye’s leadership.

Cole said Sen. Moye’s leadership has not only failed to advance development, but has also deepened political divisions in county, thus weakening collective efforts to address pressing social and economic challenges.

Cole contrasted his own record with that of Moye, asserting that while the Senator depends largely on national budget allocations, he has pursued external partnerships, investment opportunities, and lobbying efforts to deliver direct benefits to constituents.

“The difference is clear. Development does not come from sitting and waiting for the budget alone. It comes from influence, partnerships and action,” Cole said.

While Sen. Moye is yet to react to Rep. Cole directly, the remarks is in the face of political tensions, which now intensify in the county, with early maneuvering already underway ahead of the 2029 elections.

The situation has set the stage for what is expected to be a fiercely contested political battle.
