President Boakai Honors LPRC for Exemplary Performance

 President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has honored the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC)  as one of Liberia’s performing government institutions.

The state-owned agency was honored at a program marking the signing of the 2025 Performance Management & Compliance System (PMCS) Presidential Contracts.

The PMCS Presidential Contract initiative is a vital framework designed to ensure that government agencies and state-owned enterprises meet their performance benchmarks and manage public funds with efficiency.

 

During the event, LPRC Managing Director Amos Tweh, expressed LPRC’s strongest appreciation for the President’s PMCS initiative.

Managing Director Tweh reiterated the company’s commitment to fulfilling its contractual obligations, enhancing operational standards, and actively contributing to Liberia’s continued development.

“We are fully aligned with President Boakai’s vision for a prosperous Liberia, and we are dedicated to delivering reliable petroleum services that support our nation’s progress,” Managing Director Tweh affirmed.

Speaking to the Executive Management Team and LPRC staff, the LPRC’s boss stressed that the recognition is more than just an award; it’s a clear call to foster a robust culture of performance throughout the corporation.

Managing Director Tweh continued: “This is a legacy we owe to the Liberian people. We are an institution that performs, and we work for the Liberian people.”

He specifically acknowledged the Executive Management Team’s disciplined leadership, which has been crucial in enabling the LPRC to meet, and frequently exceed, its performance targets for 2024..

Honorable Tweh further appreciated the President of Liberia for his exemplary leadership of the country; and for his recognition to the state-run oil refinery company.
