Pres. Boakai To Host A Fundraising Dinner By Julius Konton

The president’s dinner is in support the country’s campaign for a non-permanent seat at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

Liberia’s campaign for a non-permanent seat at the UNSC remains in force with multiple engagements and activities geared toward ensuring it becomes a reality.

With already dozens of engagements and negotiations done by President Joseph Nyuma Boakai it appears that such a historic opportunity, Liberia stands a very strong chance of securing said seat.

According to MacDella Cooper a successful bid will elevate the nation’s global profile and position as a key voice in shaping international peace and security in the world’s highest governance body.

Madam Cooper is one of Pres. Boakai’s political advisors.

Among other things, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is spearheading the campaign, which involves engaging with other nations to garner the necessary votes.

As another means of galvanizing collective support and collaboration, Pres. will host a fund-raising dinner in support of the country’s campaign.

The ceremony is expected to be graced by government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, all in the efforts to realize said global process.

Ahead of the fund-raising program scheduled for May 3, 2025, Madam Cooper called on all Liberians to support said milestone initiative, adding: “When Liberia wins, we all win.”
