Minister of Information, Jerolinmek Matthew Piah, formally presented copies of the magazine to His Honor, Chief Justice Yamie Quiqui Gbeisay on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, in Monrovia.
The Magazine captures and highlights government’s efforts towards corruption fight.
“This magazine is focus on what the government is doing to fight corruption. It highlights the workings of all the integrity institutions to include the General Auditing Commission (GAC), Internal Audit Agency (IAA) and the Liberia Anti- Corruption Commission (LACC). Very soon, we will bring in the third edition, which will account for what has happened in the last two years of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai’s administration.”
the ceremony was part of Piah’s courtesy visit to the office of Chief Justice Gbeisay.
He made the formal presentation of the magazines on behalf of the Ministry.
Piah informed Chief Justice Gbeisay that the Ministry deals with both verbal and written communication. “Most times, you observe that every Tuesday and Thursday, we do the regular press conference. We try to run a newspaper and a magazine, but due to funding constraints, the magazine is been produced on a quarterly basis.”
Piah added: “Most times, the Ministry tries to capture the working activities in all the branches of government in the magazine.”
Gbeisay acknowledged that the Judiciary Branch of Government needs the magazine the most.
Gbeisay said the judiciary, despite being a part of the government, is independent in its work.
He asserted that the Supreme Court supports transparency, accountability and the fight against corruption evidence by the conduct of a personnel verification and credential audit of all employees of the judiciary, and the newly established Monitoring and Evaluation division.
