PACA Blasts Wion For Threatening VP Koung By: Fiona Benson Kollie

The Patriotic Consciousness Association of Liberia (PACA) has strongly condemned recent threats by a pro-CDC Talkshow host, Abraham Godsent Wion against Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung.

According to a PACA statement, Mr. Wion declared that something will happen to Vice President Koung’s convoy, if anything happens to former President George Weah.

In a strongly worded press statement released in Monrovia over the weekend, PACA  issued a two-week ultimatum to former President and UNICEF Peace Ambassador George Weah to unconditionally distance himself from the diabolical open threats against the Liberian Vice President by Mr. Wion, who works for the former President’s media empire.

According to the statement, PACA revealed that failure by former President Weah to comply with this ultimatum, the organization will stage a mass protest at Weah’s residence to demand clarification.

PACA described Wion’s threats as ‘treasonable and intended to undermine national security, as they were not aimed at VP Koung as an individual, but an embolism of the second highest seat in the country”.

PACA then called on National Security to immediately arrest  Mr. Wion for interrogation to provide clarification on  his open threats to the Vice President which undermine National Security.

PACA emphasized that while all citizens enjoy freedom of speech under the Constitution, such freedom is associated with legal and social responsibility to the extent that it doesn’t undermine national peace and stability, as in the case with Mr. Godsent Wion’s ongoing media campaign to destabilize the Liberian Government through spreading hate messages and chaos among the vulnerable citizens.

PACA stressed that such a threatening statement by Mr. Wion is a stark reminder of the infamous ‘Radio Kigali’ years ago,  which spewed misinformation and blackmail, leading to the most horrendous bloody ‘Rwanda Massacre”.

PACA then called on all patriotic citizens and forces, including the ‘so-called Rule of Law and commended the current ‘Rescue Mission Government’ of  President Joseph Nyumah Boakai and Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung, challenging them to work over obstacles and achieve “The ART ARREST AGENDA’ and improve the living standards of the Liberian people.

Meanwhile, PACA  has called on patriotic citizens and forces, including the so-called ‘Rule of Law Faction’ at the National Legislature to condemn these cowardly threats which undermine the very rule of law by the pro-Weah journalist Godsent Wion.
