Bd2mcA39 former representative candidate for Montserrado County District#11, Thomas NimeneTweh, Jr., alias “Original Countryman, over the weekend promised to give a women group under the banner “ Women Helping Women” one Million Liberian dollars as a loan to help strengthen their individual small businesses and also improve their community livelihoods.
The former Montserrado County District#11 representative candidate said he will continue to pay school fees for students even when there is no political activities be it voting time or no voting time.
Addressing the “Women Helping Women” in the Township of Dexville, he said providing the loan is necessary because it will go a long way in affording the women the opportunity to empower themselves.
Currently in the process of purchasing a piece of land to construct an empowerment center for the “ Women Helping Women, ” he noted that he will do all through the power of God to always be a help to people in need in the country despite their status .
For his part, the head of the Ambassador Miracle A. Kettor lauded the Original Countryman for his desire to provide one Million Liberian Dollars as a loan to the women, something she said will help strengthen their individual small businesses and also improve their community livelihoods.
She used the occasion and urged women who will be benefiting from the loan to wisely manage the loan they will receive, emphasizing that the funds are not “free money.”
The President of the Liberia Association of Gospel Musical Artists (LAGMA said the loan that must be repaid, when misused would undermine national efforts to empower rural women.
