As members of the Liberian National Truckers Union (LNTU) gear up for their elections soon, Omaru A. Fofana, a candidate for the position of President has assured members of the Union vibrant leadership if elected their next president. Mr. Fofana told this paper recently in an interview at this Freeport of Monrovia office, that, he is coming to the presidency of the Liberian National Truckers Union with lots of tangible that will help move the institution to a positive direction. He added that, the LNTU need visionary leader like him (Fofana) that will put the interest of the membership first. According to him, the time has come for LNTU to move forward. Candidate Fofana further that, building the capacity of his members and seeking their welfare is going to paramount on his leadership agenda if elected the next President of LNTU. He stated that, transparency, accountability integrity, and adhering to the by law and constitution, will be the Hallmark of his Administration. Candidate Fofana emphasized that, he mean-well for the membership of LNTU. According to him, if elected at the next President of LNTU his administration will seek to build good working relationship with the management of the National Port Authority (NPA) and other institutions. Mr. Fofana also spoke about a headquarter project for the membership of LNTU. He reemphasized that, the issue of this LNTU headquarters is going to be vital of his administration agenda. Candidate Fofana also promised to decentralized activities of LNTU to other parts of Liberia. He also stated that, if he is elected as the next President for LNTU, stating that he is going to be a people’s center President. According to him, members of LNTU stands to benefit lots from his leadership if they elect him as their next President. Mr. Fofana further explained that, his leadership intend to put good system into place that will help the institution be more effective in its operations. Candidate Fofana disclosed that, if he is elected as the next President of LNTU good. Financial system will be put in place at the institution. Mr. Omaru A. Fofana is a veteran Liberian business Guru with over 25 plus years in the trucking area. He understands the problem of Truckers throughout the country. Many members of the Union are supporting Mr. Fofana for the Presidency of LNTU because of his good leadership style. They members further that, both leadership wise and academically Fofana is up to the task for the Presidency of LNTU.
