NHA To Constructs 600 Units In Six Counties

In a significant move to address the housing shortage, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, has announced the construction of 600 new units.

“In February, the National Housing Authority (NHA) will commence the construction of 600 housing units in six of the 15 counties.”

Pres. Boakai said this ambitious project aims to provide affordable and sustainable housing solutions for families in need.

The assurance was contained in the President’s 3rd State of the Nation Address.

He said, the importance of the initiative in boosting local economies, and improve the quality of life for residents.

“This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to ensure that every family has access to safe and affordable housing.”

He added: “By investing in these housing units, we are not only providing shelter, but also creating jobs and stimulating growth in these communities.”

With plans to collaborate closely with local contractors, and stakeholders to ensure the project meets the specific needs of each county.

Pres. Boakai has also committed to utilize sustainable building practices to minimize environmental impact, and promote energy efficiency in the new homes.
