The National Elections Commission (NEC) has finalized preparations to launch a County-to-County Consultation in the coming days.
The exercise, according to a release, is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Electoral Legal Framework.
On Monday, October 13, 2025, the Technical Working Group of the Legal Reform process spearheaded by NEC’s Head of Legal Section, Teage Jalloh, Deputy Executive Director for Programs, Wisseh B. Ignatius, and Director of Training, James B. Wallace met with Executive Director and Head of Secretariat, Anthony K. Sengbe.
They were joined by NEC Chairperson, Madam Davidetta Browne Lansanah, as they reviewed plans ahead of the county-wide consultations.
The Legal Reform process, according to the release, is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 20, 2025, will engage stakeholders in the 15 counties, particularly those at the community level, to gather valuable input for the proposed reform agenda.
These consultations aim to collect diverse perspectives from local and traditional leaders, civil society organizations, political party representatives, youth and women groups, and persons with special needs, ensuring that the reform outcomes reflect the interests and voices of all Liberians.
Following the county consultations, the Technical Working Group will also hold additional engagements with registered political parties, the Liberia National Bar Association-LNBA, Election Coordinating Groups, and development partners.
