Bong County Senator Prince Moye, has rallied with the Minister of Public Works to reconsider the Ministry previous decision regarding the construction of a bridge over the Jor River in Gbarnga.
Moye said, he acted in a proactive move to enhance infrastructure in the county.
He underscored the importance of the project for economic development.
He meanwhile, requested assistance from the Ministry to facilitate all necessary requirements to execute the project.
In a Facebook post, Moye expressed his commitment to foster collaboration with the Public Works Ministry, and the opposition Citizens Movement of Change (CMC).
He wrote: “Earlier today, I formally communicated with the Minister of Public Works, requesting him to reconsider the Ministry’s earlier stance on the CMC’s desire to construct a bridge over the Jor River in Gbarnga, and support them in meeting various requirements for the execution of the project.”
Additionally, Sen. Moye highlighted the need for further infrastructure improvements by suggesting other critical bridge locations in the county.
He added: “We have also suggested other locations where bridges are critically needed. We hope the Ministry will collaborate with CMC to prioritize those constructions.”
Moye underscored the successful completion of these bridges would significantly enhance connectivity, linking various regions of the county to its economic hub, Gbarnga.
This infrastructure development, he said, is seen as a vital step towards stimulating economic activity, and promoting unity in the county.
Moye reaffirmed his office dedication to support all initiatives for genuine development, and unity of Bong. “My office will remain engaged, and will support all efforts geared towards genuine unity and development of the county.”
