Monique Simpson Foray:

“I Remain Committed To Run HMI”

The administration of the Haywood Mission Institute (HMI), has dispelled misinformation circulated in the public that Mrs. Monique Simpson Foray, the new principal of the Mission has left the country.

A statement from HMI assures the public that Mrs. Foray, remains committed to the running of the school through various leadership practices.
The statement warned those in the habit of spreading misinformation about the Haywood Mission Institute to desist.

According to a statement issued on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, Mrs. Foray remains a dedicated principal to provide a holistic, and value-based education that will prepare students for societal development and personal growth.

The statement also ensures that teaching and learning are prioritized, which directly impacts student outcomes.

“Mrs. Foray, has a clear commitment to provide sound education to students of the Haywood Mission Institute,” the statement noted, adding: “This is reflected in their (students) dedication to the advancement of quality education that the school has provided over the years.”

It also emphasized that, Mrs. Foray, “is focused on systemic and positive transformations of the HMI educational system.”

It then ensured that all interventions lead to improved educational outcomes.

The statement meanwhile, encouraged parents and gradience to remain supportive of the Haywood Mission Institute Authority as they provide sound and quality education to their children.

According to the statement, supporting the school authority is significant in shaping a child’s academic success and overall development.

They expressed the believed that, parents play a pivotal role in shaping a child’s academic success and overall development.

The statement added: “This includes providing emotional support, creating conducive learning environments and engaging actively with their children’s education.”

Mrs. Foray took over from father Bishop Dr. Leo M. Simpson, former Administrator or Principal of the HMI.

Simpson was retired while his daughter took over on April 14, 2026, during an elaborate ceremony held at the Paynesville City Hall, with dignitaries and students in attendance.

Bishop Simpson assumed the principalship of the HMI on January 25, 1978, nearly five decades impacting knowledge, wisdom, and discipline, breaking generational poverty for future leaders.
