Parker said, optimizing the use of EMIS data for evidence-based education sector planning, management, and accountability, ultimately enhanced the quality and equity of education provision in the country.
“Mr. Parker: “The exercise is going to image policy. It is a good beginning for the country.”
“This policy is going to be unique to the country. It is the initiative as first of its kind in the country.”
Participates were expected to draft validate and refine country’s recent EMIS self-assessment, identify critical gaps and generate practical context specific strategies to address the theme: “Development a Realistic Costed National EMIS Action Plan.”
The theme strengthens national ownership and alignment with the KIX EMIS norms and sanders.
Mr. Parker said the education management information system policy dialogue aimed to support government in advancing key priorities through national and owned solutions driven process.
The effectiveness of the EMIS depends largely on the existence of a clear policy framework that guides data collection, analysis, utilization and governance in alignment with key policy document goals and national priorities.
