The decomposed body of a man identified as Joseph Lablaah, was found in a nearby bush path barely a week after his wife complained him to the elders of Mcgill Town for allegedly raping an elderly woman.

McGill Town is located in Louisiana Township in Montserrado County.

Yamah Lablaah, publicly accused her husband (deceased) of having an affair with an elderly woman (name withheld) when she was reportedly lying naked under the influence of alcohol.

In the aftermath of the complaint, Lablaah went missing from his home until news of his mysterious death spread in the township.

Lablaah’s decomposed remains was discovered in the grass near his family sugarcane farm.

Both Lablaah’s widow and the accused old woman are yet to appear the council of elders for questioning.

McGill Town Chief, David S. Benjamin said: “I was here on a Thursday morning when few children came running to my house shouting with my name and saying: come and see the strange thing that has happened in our town. There’s a rotten dead man lying in the bush near Mr. Lablaah’s farm.

According to Mr. Benjamin, it was Lablaah’s estranged wife who went to visit their farm, “but rushed back to inform the community people that a decomposed body was discovered closed to their sugarcane farm.”

Following the discovery, the town chief immediately contacted officers of the Liberia National Police assigned at Zone Seven in Caldwell. The police later ruled out any foul play in Lablaah’s death.
Benjamin believes, Lablaah took is own life for fear of being imprison at the South Beach in Monrovia on allegation of rape.

Meanwhile, the old woman at the center of the rape saga has denied ever been tempted with by anyone, neither to name the Late Lablaah.
