Man, 30, Shot Himself Dead

James Mulbah, a 30-year-old resident of Gbarmue Town, Bong County, has taken his own life reportedly with a single-barrel gun.

Reports confirmed the death of Mulbah resulting from the self- shooting.

Eyewitnesses and family sources said Mulbah showed no unusual signs in the days prior to the incident.

Other accounts described Mulbah’s action as “unexpected and unimaginable.”

The late Mulbah was a well-known figure in the community. Prior to his demised, he was a local gold miner; considered the only source of income for his family.

His mother expressed sorrow, noting that Mulbah’s sudden death would plunge the family into deeper poverty and hardship.

‎‎Hawa Perry, a distant relative to the deceased, told mourners how Mulbah had recently complained of suffering.

Madam Perry said, despite his struggles, Mulbah’s passing took them all by surprise.

‎One elderly resident recalled how Mulbah attempted suicide in 2022, but local authorities intervened. Authorities in Gbarmue Town have meanwhile, referred to the incident as a major setback for both the victim’s family and the community.

James Karto, head of the police Crime Services Division for Bong County, disclosed how Mulbah’s eath was confirmed at the Phebe Hospital.

Karto, however, promised to do a thorough investigation to determine event that led Mulbah to take his own precious life away in such tragedy.
