LMA Reject CEO Siryon’s Allegation

Liberia Marketing Association President (LMA), Elizabeth Finda Sambolah, has denied knowing about the current conflict at the institution.

The chief executive officer (CEO) Francis S. Siryon and other members of the board have spoken of alleged corruption in the media.

Madam Sambolah told this newspaper recently that, the current problem at the LMA is being master-minded by the Siryon and the board chief Lusu Crawford Slon.

She described the allegation level against her by Siryon and other members of the board as false misleading and far from the reality.

She further denied being part of the decision-making at the entity over the period of time.

Madam Sambolah also denied nepotism at the LMA as alleged by Siryon and others.

She said information in the media accusing her of being engaged in nepotism is “false, misleading and far from reality.”

She informed this newspaper that her son was employed by CEO Siryon and the board chair unknown to her, adding: “I never wanted my son to get employment with the LMA.”

Meanwhile, Madam Sambolah has expressed disappointment in Siryon and Madam Lusu Slon by spreading wrong information to the media about her.

“Siryon and Lusu Slon are the two people running the LMA without my import. My office has over the years seriously been undermined by Siryon and Lusu Slon,” Madam Sambolah added.

According to her, she has no control absolutely over financial transaction at the institution, rather, “it is Siryon and Lusu that are in-charge of the entity without my office being contacted.”

The two people, she said, are fighting her, “because the both of them want to contest in the coming LMA’s election due in February next year.”

Meanwhile, Madam Sambolah has with immediately effect, announced Aaron Karboi as acting board chair of the LMA, while Lusu remained suspended from the position.
