The Liberia Land Authority (LLA) has identified the traditional boundary between Pleebo and Gbolobo clans in Maryland County.
They Authority subsequently resolved the dispute and called for clam among the locals.
The move followed a complaint by Gbolobo Clan leaders that a private structure was built on their land without consent.
The dispute involved allegations that city authorities had supported the structure occupancy through squatter rights, with claims it fell under Pleebo City jurisdiction.
After investigating, the LLA determined the structure lies within Gbolobo’s traditional territory.
The exercise, led by the county Acting Land Administrator Jonah Wreh Segbe, aimed to document and verify the boundary.
Next steps include stakeholders’ meeting to establish official city limits and clan territory understanding.
The effort highlights the push to reconcile traditional land claims with formal city planning, reducing potential disputes.
