The founder of a ‘Faith based religious group “the Sanoyea Pastoral Network” Rev. Amose Sackie has told Liberians to tasked irrespective of tribe, creed, religion or political affiliate to be dutiful and sacrificial to the service of God and man.
He said this would make the society and the country live happily to affect the lives of others in their respective missions, calling on all Liberians to be serviceable and ‘Light Bearers of God.
He made the statement yesterday when the Sanoyea Pastoral Network honored and certificated Seven persons for their tireless contributions to the communities and the entire nation meanly in Totota in Lower Bong County.
They were also honored for helping victims of the December 26, 2023, Totota in Lower Bong County witnessed a catastrophic incident when a fuel tanker, en route from Monrovia to Gbarnga, exploded after accidentally colliding with a drainage along the major highway.
Those honored included the paramount chief Konowalala Administrative District in Bong County John Stephen Gwee, Bishop Edwin Flomo, Muhammed Bin Abdullah, Iman Mohammed Swaray, Stephen Wolonah, M.G Zaizay, Lawrance Kaine and Junior Giddi.
He admonished the honorees to be God fearing and patient,
emphasizing the importance of faith and patience in the face of challenges.
It can be recalled that the unidentified tanker, laden with petroleum products, erupted into flames hours after tumbling into the drainage, opposite the Upper Room Church in the Mulbah Hill Community.
It was reported at the time, Local authorities in Bong County reported the involvement of over two hundred residents in extracting petroleum products from the tanker, resulting in numerous injuries and fatalities. The tragic incident also triggered a power outage in Totota, severely impacting essential health services.
