The Vice President of the Reporters Association of Liberia (RAL), Henscin Dehgar, has been officially inducted as president of the Liberian International students Alliance.

By that Dehgar will stir the affairs of the institution for one year.

The Alliance is a global body of Liberian students, who are pursuing higher education in different countries.

Dehgar, a student at present in China, was inducted along with Alan Yealue, a student in India as vice president, Gadriel Borbor, a student in the Philippian as secretary general, Jefferson Tenge, also a student in Russia, as assistant secretary and Kunoh Woart, a student based in Rwanda as financial secretary.

In his inaugural speech, Dehgar outlined his administration 100-day deliverables to include

The launch of online research symposiums; inter-country debate, and the institution’s website.

Dehgar has meanwhile, called on the government to establish Liberia’s embassies in India, Rwanda and other nations that have several other Liberia students.

The international student body was graced via Google meet by Bong County District #7 Representative Foday E.K. Fahnbulleh.

Fahnbulleh has by that, encouraged diaspora Liberian students to return and contribute to the development of the country.

Fahnbulleh said, the development objective of Liberia needs the collaborative expertise of every citizen, irrespective of location.

He highlighted Liberia’s interest in the area of research, adding that research-driven countries are developed as compare to countries that lack research.
