Unit-711 LDEA’s Chief of Manpower, Aaron Karzon, Jr., has been internationally recognized for his “outstanding performance.”

Karzon was honored during a high-level training course on anti-narcotic and psychotropic substances in Cairo, Egypt.

The training, held from March 8, to May 1, 2025, was hosted at the Egyptian Police Research Center (PRC) of the Police Academy in coordination with the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD).

The training brought together security professionals from across the globe to strengthen the fight against drug trafficking and substance abuse.

Officer Karzon, according to a release, did not only complete the “rigorous training program with distinction,” but was also officially honored in Egypt as the “Most Ideal Officer of the Training Course.”

He received a special certificate of recognition during the closing ceremony in Cairo, making him a standout representative of Liberia on the international stage.

“This recognition is not just a personal achievement for Officer Karzon, but a proud moment for the entire LDEA and the country,” the release said.

According to the agency, “Karzon’s performance reflects the dedication, discipline and professionalism that we strive for within the agency.”

“The LDEA recognizes the growing complexity of international drug trafficking networks and the need for continuous capacity-building to counter these threats effectively,” the release said.

It adds: “Participation in international training programs such as this one is essential to equipping LDEA officers with the knowledge, skills, and global perspectives required to combat narcotics and psychotropic substances efficiently.”

“By fostering strategic partnerships and exposing its officers to international best practices, the LDEA ensures that the country remains engaged in global efforts to promote safety, security and justice.”

“Officer Karzon’s recognition in Egypt, the agency director-general,” Anthony K. Souh says, “serves as a clear reminder of the importance of investing in professional development and capacity-building within law enforcement.”

“As he returns with enhanced expertise, the agency looks forward to integrating his knowledge into ongoing training programs and operational strategies.”

The LDEA, meanwhile, extends heartfelt congratulations to Officer Karzon, Jr. for his “remarkable achievement, and reaffirmed commitment to fostering excellence, both at home and abroad.”
