The Deputy Officer-In-Charge for Operations at the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), Patrick Kormazu, has successfully concluded a tour of the Agency’s Southeastern detachments.
Counties toured, according to a release, included Sinoe, Grand Gedeh, River Gee, and Maryland.
The tour was undertaken to assess operational activities, motivate personnel, and commended officers for their dedication to combating illicit drugs. During the visit, Kormazu expressed appreciation to the men and women of the Agency for their continued efforts and sacrifices, while strongly cautioning them to uphold integrity and professionalism at all times.
While on the tour, according to the release, he made a brief stop at River Gee County; held community engagement with residents.
The aim was to foster coexistence, and also conscientized officers on dealing with commuters, especially at checkpoints.
Kormazu reminded them of the Agency’s zero-tolerance stance on unprofessional conduct, which undermines discipline, credibility, and the mission of the Agency.
The LDEA urges the public to continue assisting in the fight against drug trafficking by reporting any suspicious activities through its hotlines:
