Representative Luther Collins of Gbapolu County District #2 has submitted a total of $14,800 to the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) for investigation.
Accompanied by fellow Representatives Eugene Kollie and Zinnah A. Norman, Collins filed an official complaint urging the Commission to look into the matter.
Collins emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in government, stating that the submission is a step toward ensuring proper financial practices. He expressed confidence in the LACC’s ability to conduct a thorough investigation into the alleged bribery scandal of Lawmakers to remove Speaker J. Fonati Koffa.
“This action underscores our commitment to fighting corruption and ensuring that public funds are used for the benefit of the people,” Collins remarked.
The LACC has yet to announce the next steps in the investigation, but the representatives are hopeful that this initiative will foster greater accountability among public officials. By: Wroinbee Elton Tiah/ Ablee-Jay TV
