Kogar Again!!

… Accuses Nimba Supt.

Nimba County Senator Samuel G. Kogar, has again come under spotlight of his criticisms of his kinsmen and women. This time, he has accused the county Superintendent, Kou Meapeh Gono of “misusing Public Funds.” He also described the Superintendent’s County projects as “wasteful.”

Kogar criticized Supt. Gono’s ongoing renovation projects in the county, questioning whether they reflect the true needs of Nimbaians. while the office of the superintendent is yet to react to his comments, Sen. Kogar said, some people may view the renovation of superintendent and commissioner compounds; district offices, and airport facilities as progress.

Kogar: “Such spending does not address the pressing challenges facing residents.”

‎‎He said funds being used do not come from the government, but the county, and should therefore, “be directed toward development that benefits the locals.”

He especially named farmers, who he perceived were struggling with “poor road conditions.”

‎Kogar highlighted the recent executive order banning the export of processed rubber.

For that, he argued Nimba, being a major rubber-producing region, should prioritize establishing rubber processing plants, rather than waiting for government mandate or decree.

He suggested placing processing facilities in all parts of the three electoral districts to boost local revenue and support farmers.

‎Additionally, Kogar proposed investing in real estate, and skills development programs, to generate long-term economic benefits.

“Proceeds from such ventures could fund scholarships, including sponsoring Nimba students in nursing and other fields under agreements requiring them to return and serve the county. This way, the county benefits, not just today, but for generations.”
