The Office of Grand Kru Representative, J. Fonati Koffa, has released a detailed development report.
The Report highlighted over US$1,046,237 and L$22,764,000 in constituency spending, with a strong focus on ‘service delivery’ and direct impact across communities.
The report outlines a multi-sectoral approach, combining infrastructure projects with social support programs to improve everyday living conditions.
In the Report, infrastructure investments totaled US$348,795 and L$3,000,000 that included completed school construction and the renovated projects in Bolloh, Buah and Sasstown, as well as streetlights installed to enhance safety.
The Report also pointed to water access initiatives through hand pump installations, and support for rural road rehabilitation; key interventions designed to improve mobility and access to services. In the health sector, US$74,700 was used to support hospitals in Grandcess and Sasstown with generators as COVID-19 response efforts, and fuel assistance to the Buah Health Center. Education programs received US$28,453 and L$3,670,000, which targeted teacher support, scholarships, and student development activities, including ‘academic competitions.’
A significant portion of the report of US$396,289 and L$12,042,000 was dedicated to community engagement and welfare support.
These included assistance for storm disaster victims, medical cases, funerals, and support to religious and local institutions. The office also provided community assets such as generators and chairs, as well as seasonal support during holidays and national celebrations.
Women empowerment initiatives, backed by L$3,000,000, focused on loan schemes and support for small businesses in several communities.
Youth development was addressed through sports funding of L$2,370,000, supporting local football clubs and academies, and encouraging community participation.
The report highlighted US$198,000 and L$3,452,000 allocated to institutional support and lobbying efforts, including communication tools, school improvements, and advocacy for broader infrastructure development. The Office stated that the report reflects a commitment to transparency and measurable results, providing constituents with a clear account of how resources have been utilized.
The Report presents a model focused on both immediate service delivery and longer-term community improvement.
