Counselor Johnathan Fonati Koffa on Tuesday, June 2, hosted a delegation of Southeastern students attending the Louise Arthur Grimes School of Law and the Liberia School of Liberia at his private office.
Koffa shared insights on the role of law in strengthening democratic institutions and maintaining peace in society.
The visit of the students formed part of their efforts to engage experienced legal professionals and gain practical knowledge beyond the classroom as they pursue careers in the legal profession.
During the interaction, Cllr. Koffa said, rule of law remains one of the cornerstones of democratic governance.
He said, a strong legal system is essential for protecting rights, ensuring accountability and promoting national stability.
The discussion also afforded the students the opportunity to ask questions, and benefit from the experiences of a senior legal practitioner, making the engagement educational and inspiring.
Members of the delegation described the meeting as “insightful and impactful.”
They noted that the conversation provided valuable perspectives on the responsibilities of lawyers in advancing justice and contributing to national development.
The students expressed gratitude to Koffa for welcoming them and sharing his knowledge, while also commending Chief of Office Staff Chris Joboe, and the office staff for their support and coordination of the visit.
The engagement reflects the growing commitment of the future legal professionals to seek mentorship and practical exposure from established figures within the legal community.
