In a move to further improve and promote Liberia’s traditional sport, Kickball, Intel Sports Inc. and the Liberia Kickball Federation Wednesday signed a three year broadcast right and partnership deal.
The milestone achievement first of its kind in the sector especially for the two institutions will give more visibility and spotlights to Kickball activities in the Country.
Intel Sports as part of the landmark agreement will provide professional and maximum coverage of first and second division matches as well as other key and major activities within the Kickballing corridors.
Speaking during the brief signing ceremony the Chief Executive Officer of Intel Sports Besario Boima Boakai assured the LKF of Intel’s commitment to its part of the bargaining.
He also promised the LKF as part of the agreement that it will provide maximum Kickball content that will help showcase the talents of potential young Liberians in the sector including the technicians and stakeholders at large.
Also speaking at the signing ceremony was the President of the Kickball Federation, Emmanuel Whea, who appreciated Intel Sports for the partnership deal and also promised to uphold the LKF’s share of the bargaining.
According to Mr. Whea, the signing ceremony marks a new day for the sector.

The LKF boss said the move is a significant boost to them.
“Our players will be giving additional promotion through Intel Sports platform which is widely followed and this will also help sell the Sports and players to the globe sooner and faster”, he added.
Whea’s vision among other things is to see Kickball from its origin in Liberia to be played on the global stage beginning with the region, the continent and the Olympics at large.
He used the occasion to rally others outside of the sector and the business community to see the need to support Kickball.
He named players welfare and improve infrastructure, playing pitch as well as essential logistics for the Federation among others as key areas of immediate intervention.
