The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, confirmed the jailing of three officials previously assigned at Lofa County Unverity,

The trio are Peter Taylor, Alieu Kamara and Moiselekie K. Duwana. They have meanwhile, been remanded at the Voinjama Central Prison.

The decision to jail the officials was taken by the 10th Judicial Circuit Court in Lofa County on Tuesday, November 11.

They were indicted by the LACC following an investigation that linked them to acts of financial malpractice at the Lofa County University (LCU). Their detention follows their failure to file a valid criminal appearance bond since September 6, 2025.

The decision was made during the Court’s November Term sitting, after the defendants made their initial appearance before the Judge, His Honor Pape Suah, Assigned Circuit Judge in Voinjama.

The matter was brought to the Court’s attention through the intervention of the LACC Chief Prosecutor, Counselor Bobby Livingstone.

The LACC, has meanwhile, reaffirmed its commitment to ensure that individuals accused of corruption are held accountable in accordance with the laws of the Republic.

“The Commission remains steadfast in its mission to promote integrity, transparency and accountability across all public institutions.

The case, the Commission said, reflects its ongoing efforts to curb corruption, and strengthen public trust in governance.
