The women congregation, offered prayers for the speaker and members of the House.

The prayer service was held in the Chambers of the House on Capitol Hill in Monrovia.

The women are drawn from Angola, Uganda, Zimbabwe and South Sudan. They gathered in unity and prayed for divine guidance, wisdom and peace to strength the lawmakers as they carry out their constitutional responsibilities on behalf of the Liberian people.

The prayer session focused on national unity, good governance, peace and the success of the Legislature in enacting laws, and policies that would promote justice, development, and the general welfare of the nation.

House Speaker Richard Nagbe Koon, who received the delegation, expressed profound gratitude to the leadership of AWJAN for their prayers and spiritual support.

He reaffirmed the House’s commitment to work under the guidance of God, noting that the 55th Legislature remains dedicated to serve the people with integrity, humility, and a strong sense of national purpose.

“We are thankful for your prayers and encouragement. As leaders, we recognize our dependence on God’s wisdom, and we pledge to continue working in His guidance for the good of the people we represent.”

Members of the House also joined in appreciating the women for standing in prayer with the Legislature, and for promoting faith-based values, peace, and unity across the African continent.
