As part of efforts to further improve residents living condition of Gbor-Chiefdom, Nimba County Nimba County Electoral District #4 Representative Ernest Manseah, has broken ground for the construction of three bridges worth over US$100K. When completed, the bridges will connect Gbor-Gbanwain with Gbor-Payee and other communities across the district. The projects are expected to significantly improve transportation and boost economic activities in the Gbor region and surrounding catchments. During the recent groundbreaking ceremony, Rep. Manseah informed the locals about how the construction of the bridges are important to enhance developments. He noted that the bridges will bring long-awaited relief to the locals and contribute to the county’s economic growth. Manseah said, residents of district #4, specifically those in the Gbor region have earlier called for the construction of those bridges that were destroyed several years ago. “Therefore, I urge residents both in Gbor-Gbanwain and Gbor-Payee, to work alongside engineers and take ownership of their developments.” Rep. Manseah has meanwhile, assured the inhabitants that all development initiatives carried out in the Tuah River belt will also be extended to the Gbor region. He said, since he was elected in 2023, his office has awarded eight scholarships to students that are studying abroad. More importantly, the scholarships were distributed equally in the district. Manseah other development initiatives include two additional bridges in the Beo region, which a ceremony commemorating the groundbreaking was held Beo-Ganaglay and Beo-Yoorlar respectively. The bridges, when completed, will connect Beo-Bongarplay and Beo-Gbeneley as well as other nearby communities. other projects Manseah has undertaken (nearing completion) since he took office nearly three years ago, include schools, town halls, a police station, and a guest house. He has recommitted himself to do more as long as the electorates continue to work together. The district has responded positively to the developments. On behalf of the community, the Commissioner of Gbor region, Ernest Doitoe, praised Rep. Manseah for the numerous initiatives. Doitoe noted that since 1980, successive officials had promised to construct bridges in those affected communities, but failed to deliver.
He then offered blessings and appreciation to Rep. Manseah, honoring him publicly for the ongoing infrastructure developments.
