On Thursday, December 18, Police assigned in Behwan Sorrowken, Trembo Administrative District in Grand Kru County were informed of Peter Weah alleged raping of a 9-year old woman.
The survival is reportedly mentally ill or unstable.
Based on the report, a team of LNP officers headed by Patrolman Allison M. Dahn, responded on the scene, and arrest the accused.
During Police investigation, the survival informed police that, she and the accused live in the same community.
“While I was sleeping around 12 a.m., under the cover of darkness, Weah left his house, entered my room, and forcibly have sexual intercourse with me.”
Before committing the alleged act, the survival explained how Weah covered her mouth with dirty pieces of clothes as he sexually abused her.
The excused could not deny or confirm the allegation.
Weah told investigators that he had gone to the victim’s room at that hour of the night to visit one Norah Nah, who is the victim’s sister in-law.
“After the visit. I went back home, and left the next day for the bush. But when I came back in the evening, I again went to the victim house to get fire. While taking the fire, the victim’s mother, Susanna Toe, accused me of having sex with her daughter, the previous night.
Accused further told investigation that the victim is “mentally unstable, and therefore, he cannot have sex with a sick person.
While awaiting a medical report, Police have held the accused for further investigation.
