The House of Representatives has categorically clarified that at no time did President Joseph N. Boakai meet with Speaker Richard Nagbe Koon to warn him about settling the ongoing crisis within the House, or risk losing his support as Speaker of the 55th Legislature. “These allegations are baseless, misleading, and part of a campaign of lies and propaganda designed to disrupt the progress of the House of Representatives. The members of the House remain fully committed to their constitutional duties and will not be diverted from their mission of serving the people of Liberia,” a release from Capitol Building has indicated. The release further noted: “The focus of Speaker Koon, Deputy Speaker Thomas Pangar Fallah and all members of the House of Representatives is unwavering. They are determined to work in the best interest of the Republic of Liberia, ensuring that the people’s concerns are heard and addressed effectively.” According to the release, the House of Representatives remains united in its dedication to strengthening Liberia’s democratic process and advancing the nation’s development.
