The House Committee on Rules, Order and Administration on Thursday, April 30, 2026, commenced an investigative hearing that involved Bomi County Electoral District #3 Representative, Sam P. Jallah.

The hearing follows a formal complaint regarding remarks attributed to Rep. Jallah in which he stated: “One person can sit and sign the budget, rather than all the lawmakers, particularly members of Ways, Means and Finance Committee.”

The investigative, which lasted for several hours, saw Jallah being extensively cross-examined by members of the Committee.

Rep. Jallah, according to report, fully cooperated throughout the proceedings.

He reportedly provided responses to questions aimed at clarifying his public statements.

Following the hearing, the Committee Chairman, and Bong County District #2 Representatives, James M. Kolleh, said, the Committee will carefully review the testimonies, and submissions gathered during the hearing.

Kolleh said, the Committee remains committed to execute its mandate professionally, and will subsequently compile its findings, and recommendations for submission to Plenary for further legislative action.

The investigation forms part of the House’s broader effort to uphold accountability, preserve institutional integrity, and ensure that statements made by its members reflect the decorum and responsibility expected of the Legislature.
