The House of Representatives on Tuesday formally welcomed U.S. Congressman David H. Zimmerman of the 99th Legislative District, Pennsylvania State Capitol, Harrisburg.
The U.S. Congressman is in the country as a guest of Speaker Richard Nagbe Koon, and the full membership of the House.
Congressman Zimmerman, who arrived with a delegation from Pennsylvania, is on a mission of goodwill, spiritual engagement and legislative diplomacy, a release has said. His visit is part of broader efforts to strengthen U.S.-Liberia relations, foster reconciliation and support national development initiatives.
As part of his itinerary, Congressman Zimmerman on April 9, hosted a Business Conference at the Paynesville Town Hall, which brought together local entrepreneurs and business leaders.
