The Plenary of the House of Representatives- HoR, has officially lifted the suspensions of 16 lawmakers, who were previously barred for 30 session days.
The decision was reached on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, during the first sitting of the second quarter of the second session.
Among the reinstated lawmakers are Edward P. Flomo, Abu Kamara, Marvin Cole, Frank Saah Foko Jr., Eugene K.M. Kollie, Zinnah Norman, Alex Sonnyboy Noah and Muka K. Kamara.
Others include Jerry Yogboh, Yekeh Kolubah, Dixon W. Seboe, Musa Bility, Samuel Enders, Thomas A. Goshua, Jacob Debee and Luther Collins.
Prior to the latest decision, on March 20, 2025, the august body had already lifted the suspension of Representative Abu B. Kamara after he complied with the terms set by the Plenary.
The House’s Press Bureau recalled that their suspensions had been tied to allegations of misconduct, absenteeism and political disputes.
During the suspension period, the affected lawmakers forfeited their salaries and legislative benefits and further prohibited from entering the Capitol grounds.
The lifting of these suspensions signals a shift in the political landscape within the House, with renewed negotiations and strategic alignments likely to influence future legislative proceedings and decisions.
