PRESIDENT JOSEPH NYUMA Boakai, Sr. formally signed the 2025 Performance Management and Compliance System (PMCS) Presidential Contracts at the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Ministerial Complex in Congo Town on June 12, 2025.
THE SIGNING CEREMONY pinpointed at a forward march for the Government to harness effort in strengthening transparency, service delivery, and institutional accountability across all sectors.
THE CEREMONY ALSO marked the recognition of performing government institutions who have not reneged on fulfilling what the Performance Management and Compliance System Contracts have required of public entities.
NO DOUBT, THE thirteen public entities- ministries and agencies recognized as high achievers were selected based on tangibles and distinct result-oriented work plans that have painstakingly impacted those recognized institutions.
THIS DRIVE, IN our candid opinion; does not call for special interest or favoritism for anyone to brag about but a system based on merit to motivate public servants who enjoy the trust and confidence reposed in them to serve the country and its people.
INDEED, WE CRAVE the tenacity of the present regime to ensure breaking the yoke of empty talks and less work when taxpayers’ monies are allotted to public offices to implement projects, transform and improve the living standards of the masses.
SURELY, WHEN IT is time to work we must work and show results to prove what we usually claim in our CVs and during confirmation hearings at the Liberian Senate to be capable of doing according to those portfolios we occupy in government.
WE THEREFORE ENCOURAGE President Boakai to honor those who deserve honor on the basis that there should be no room to safeguard under achievers only because of their closeness to the Presidency.
