A licensed herbalist identified as Saah Quetamo has confessed to his alleged role in the death of motorcyclist Marcus Kardyu in Grand Bassa County on May 5.
According to him, a man identified as Mr. Freeman contacted him and claimed that Marcus owed him money and refused to pay.
Quetamo said he charged Freeman US$500 to perform the act and received US$300 in advance.
“A man named Mr. Freeman contacted me that a boy named Marcus owed him and refused to pay. So, I should draw him in the mirror. I charged him US$500, and he gave me US$300 as advance. So, I drew Marcus in the mirror and gave Freeman the knife to strike the picture of Marcus in the mirror, and the lightning fired and killed him physically,” Quetamo confessed.
Quetamo is currently in police custody as authorities continue their investigation into the case.
The incident has attracted public attention across Liberia.
