Gov’t To Renovate Public Facilities

President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, has outlined government’s commitment to revitalize public infrastructure.

In his Monday’s State of the Nation Address, Boakai said, his government is focused on restoring public infrastructure and promoting urban development.

He reaffirmed his belief in the nation’s potential and the importance of service-driven leadership.

Pres. Boakai announced a comprehensive plan to rehabilitate decaying public buildings in Monrovia and all around the country.

He spoke of the need to restore dignity to public service, and safeguard national assets for future generations.

“We must act now to ensure that our public infrastructure reflects the respect and value we have for our citizens.”

In addition to infrastructure improvements, the President disclosed plans to initiate the layout of major cities, aligning these efforts with recent

decentralization initiatives, and the newly enacted zoning law.

This initiative aims to promote organized urban development and enhance the quality of life for all. As he reflected on the past year, Pres. Boakai expressed confidence in the progress made, noting: “The state of our nation is stronger than when we last stood here.”

He said the achievements of his administration are not mere endpoints, but a foundation for future growth and development. “We have built on the progress already made, strengthening confidence and restoring hope that the promise of this nation can indeed be unlocked for the benefit of all.”

The President reiterated his administration’s commitment to the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development, stating that the nation must not become complacent.

“As we deepen the implementation of this agenda, we move forward with resolve, courage, and clarity of purpose.”

He added: “Pres. Boakai’s vision for a revitalized nation resonates with hope and determination, setting a clear path forward for the government and its citizens alike.”
