Government has issued a robust rebuttal to Bomi County Senator Edwin Melvin Snowe.

Snowe is accused of peddling “inconsistent and politically charged narratives.’

His narratives, government claimed are aimed at undermining the governing Unity Party-led administration.

Deputy Information Minister of Press and Public Affairs, Daniel O. Sando hit on Snowe was at the Ministry’s regular press briefing on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, in Monrovia.

Sando dismissed Snowe’s recent remarks as “reckless, thoughtless and misleading,” insisting they bear little resemblance to the Joseph Nyuma Boakai’s administration development efforts.

He did not mince words, rather argued that Senator Snowe’s political posture is riddled with contradictions most, notably his recent US$10,000 donation to the opposition Congress for Democratic Change (CDC).

Snowe made the donation at CDC’s groundbreaking ceremony for their headquarters in Congo Town, outside Monrovia.

Mr. Sando said, Snowe financial endorsement of the opposition, while simultaneously criticizing the government casts serious doubt on his objectivity, genuineness and sincerity to country.

“Leadership requires consistency, steadiness and reliability,” said Sando pointedly.

He added: “You cannot be financing opposition activities on Monday, and condemning the government on Tuesday. Such behavior raises legitimate questions about motive, credibility and whether such criticisms are driven by national interest or personal political theatrics.”

Snowe had taken aim at the UP planned December 6, fundraising program.
