The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sara Beysolow Nyanti, has reaffirmed the Government of Liberia’s commitment to collaborate with the European Union (EU) in solving global challenges and promoting sustainable developments. Making remarks at the 12th EU-Liberia Partnership Dialogue, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Monrovia on August 13, 2024, Minister Nyanti assured her counterparts that Liberia will continue to work with the EU in tackling global problems and boosting economic growth and development. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, on behalf of the Government of Liberia expressed profound gratitude to the European Union for its unwavering support as a key partner in development cooperation. She disclosed that the dialogue is aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and addressing key mutual interests grounded in shared values. “These encompassed bilateral EU-Liberia cooperation, Good Governance and Rule of Law, Human Rights, Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability, International and Regional Peace, Justice and Security, Trade, Investment, and Economic Cooperation,” Minister Nyanti emphasized. Minister Nyanti, who Co-chaired the dialogue, highlighted that the dialogue covered Cultural Exchange, Youth Employment and Education, Entrepreneurship and Skills Development, and Infrastructure, Technology, and Connectivity. The Liberian delegation featured cabinet members and heads of agencies, while the European Union Delegation included Ambassadors and Charges D’Affaires from EU Member States in Liberia, namely Sweden, Germany, France, Ireland, and the Netherlands.
