Forky Klon Jlaleh Family Fellowship Ministry Maintains Members

By Reuben A. Yuan

Despite losing the presidency in 2023, the General Overseer and Founder of the Forky Klon Jlaleh Family Fellowship Ministry, George Weah, seems to be overwhelmed with the growing memberships of the church.

Many of the well-wishers and sympathizers of the former president thought that since he lost the presidency, those who joined the church during the early days of his presidency would have abandoned the ministry, but to the contrary.

The church that is situated in Lower Margibi County, precisely ABC road opposite the Baptist Seminary, was a host to a little over 268 churchgoers, while the children ministry contained 2,200.

Even though, many of Weah’s cabinet ministers, who used to troop in their droves, especially during first Sunday service, were absent on October First Sunday (October 5).

Regrettably, the only former officials of the then CDC–led government, who attended the First Sunday service, was Herrietta M. Sackor, then Assistant Minister for Gender, Ministry of Education, and current lawmaker Matthew Joe of Grand Bassa County.

A community dweller Alphonso Vah, who attends the church regularly, said Weah’s officials (ministers), who used to fill the church as though heaven was about to come down only because their presence at the time was meant to seek favor.

Vah said since Weah lost the election, none of them come to service anymore.

But what is much more interesting about the church, as one political pundit puts it, whenever the name Weah is called in the church, the whole congregation will stand to hail him as though they were in service to glorify him, and not God.

The pundit said there is no way that you can divorce the church from the party (CDC), because the entire church members are CDCians.

He added that the church is a sacred place, and should not be a place to discuss party politic as done by Forky Klon pastors and members.
