Eugene Nagbe Criticizes UP Government -As CDC Policies Not Reversed

Eugene Nagbe, the current Chief of Staff to former President George Weah, has strongly criticized the Unity Party (UP) government for its refusal to reverse several key policies instituted by the former CDC administration.

Nagbe raised questions over the government’s decision to maintain the controversial harmonization policy, as well as its failure to cancel the CTN, review the APN deal, and abolish the free tuition initiative.

Speaking on Spoon FM against the UP government’s stance, Nagbe accused the current administration of misleading the public by not following through with promises to review these policies. “They lied about everything. Now they can’t govern,” Nagbe said, emphasizing that the government’s refusal to make changes has left many wondering about its ability to address the needs of the country.

The policies in question, which were a hallmark of the previous CDC administration, have been a source of ongoing debate in Liberia’s political landscape. Despite widespread criticism, the UP government has stood firm in its decision to retain these programs.
