Former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf on Monday, February 2, 2026, paid a heartwarming visit to the Clar Hope Foundation, and the City of Hope Academy in Marshall, Margibi County.

Mrs. Sirleaf’s visit brought encouragement and inspiration to students and staff at the embattled institute. The visit was shared in a live video posted on the official social media page of former First Lady Clar Marie Weah, showing Madam Sirleaf president warmly engaging with students inside their classrooms.

Madam Sirleaf interacted directly with the children, asking questions about their lessons and applauding their confidence and knowledge.

“You all passed,” Madam Sirleaf assured the students after listening to their responses, drawing smiles and excitements from the young learners.

While reacting to the visit, Clar Marie Weah, expressed deep gratitude to Madam Sirleaf on behalf of the management, staff and students of the Clar Hope Foundation and City of Hope Academy.

“Your presence, humility and lifelong commitment to education, peace, and the empowerment of women and children continue to inspire hope and purpose in our communities,” Madam Weah told Madam Sirleaf.

She added that the former president’s visit brought joy to the children and created memories they will cherish for a lifetime.

According to her, the City of Hope Academy remains committed to nurturing Liberia’s future leaders by providing quality education and a safe, supportive learning environment for children.

Madam Weah also used the occasion to call on Liberians and leaders, past and present, to continue standing with, and supporting initiatives that uplift children across the country.

She spoke of the work of the Clar Hope Foundation and City of Hope Academy is driven not by personal interest, but by a shared commitment to the well-being and future of Liberia’s children.
