Ahead of today’s polls in Nimba County, the election magistrate of Upper Nimba, Milton G. Paye, has assured the public of conducting a credible, transparent and peaceful election in the region.

At the deployment of temporary election staffs and materials to various polling places across the county, Paye spoke of the National Elections Commission’s (NEC) commitment to upholding democratic principles and maintaining public trust in the electoral process.

“We are fully prepared to conduct free, fair and transparent elections today. The deployment of our temporary staffs and materials to polling centers is being carried out with the utmost professionalism and in accordance with NEC guidelines,” Mr. Paye said.

The deployment process, which began early Sunday morning April 20, 2025, saw hundreds of temporary staffs dispatched to designated locations, accompanied by electoral materials essential for the smooth conduct of the county 2025 senatorial by-election.

Mr. Paye called on all political parties, candidates and voters to cooperate with NEC staffs, respect electoral laws and contribute to a violence-free election.

“The success of this election depends on all of us, the voters, candidates and electoral workers alike. Let us work together to ensure our voices are heard through the ballot box,” he told the anxious looking voters.
