Let's Not Politicize Everything

IT APPEARS QUITE measurable that the height of politics is being raised astronomically in the society and its associated noise is causing uneasy calm.

SOCIETY BECOMES SLEEPLESS and uncomfortable socially, economically, politically and culturally whenever those who play politics do it the negative way, either consciously or unconsciously.

FOR INSTANCE, WHEN President Joseph Nyumah Boakia proverbially said if you wish to reach your destination on time, never pause to throw stone at every barking dog, it was construed in many political circles to mean an insult.

UP TO NOW the statement is being negatively raised high and accusing fingers are being pointed at the president for calling Liberian people dogs, something which is raising red political dust in the air.

THE BITTERNESS IN the hearts of most people on the opposition camp can be seen visibly bubbling.

AS PER OUR understanding, the parable places one on the guide to pursue determination, destination, ambition and focus without allowing oneself to be distracted by noise and criticism.

A PARABLE IS a short, simple story used to teach a deeper moral or spiritual lesson. The essence of a parable lies not in the story itself, but in the meaning behind it.

PARABLES USE everyday situations—like farming, family life, or business—to explain complex ideas about life, morality, or faith.

IT ENCOURAGES THE listener to think, reflect, and discover the meaning for themselves. It conveys moral or spiritual lessons

MOST PARABLES AIM to shape character—teaching values like kindness, humility, forgiveness, justice, and wisdom.

FOR EXAMPLE, IN the teachings of Jesus Christ, parables like the Good Samaritan emphasize compassion, while the Prodigal Son highlights forgiveness and redemption.

IN SHORT, THE essence of a parable is to communicate deep truths through simple stories that inspire understanding and moral growth.

IT SHOULD BE understood that parables are the strength of most, if not all leaders.  The parable in question was authored by the late British Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. The Liberian leader Joseph Nyuma Boakia was just repeating in the face of a given situation.

PARABLE IS THE language elders speak to express the teachings of wisdom. Parable is as old as the earth itself. As long as life goes on, parable remains its journey partner.

LET’S NOT POLITICIZE everything and bark at wolf where it’s not present.
