God Desires Thanks Giving of Purpose

The people of Liberia spiritually honored a presidential proclamation on Thursday, November 6, 2025, whereby they congregated in their droves in mosques and churches across the country to pray to God whose miracle the state of Liberia, like all others, was created.

However, while it was feasible to fast and pray, and give God deserved thanks and praises, it should be done consistent with the doctrine of spiritual rationality, including the realistic application of the golden rules of the game, which has to do with the creation and actualization of hard work, something which obviously pleases God.

By spiritual rationality, we mean realizing the abundant blessings and grace made available to us as nation, and people and utilizing same to add value to peaceful coexistence.

By spiritual rationality, we mean adhering to the culture of being our brothers’ keepers as opposed to being our brothers’ killers, by building a positive mindset as opposed to building a negative mindset, thereby hindering our own growth and development.

‎Liberia gained independence since 1847, and she’s the second oldest republic in Africa. Interestingly, she has all it takes as far as rich natural resources are concerned, to live a truly independent, and enjoyable life, yet she and her citizens remain dragging under the weight of poverty.

‎‎

The poverty rate is about eight percent, thereby making her citizens traditional hosts of dehydrated lifestyle from time to time.

Bad governance, culture of corruption, and lack of the spirit of nationalism, have and continue to create social, political and economic insecurities for its people.

Power users, if not all of them, are in the constant habit of creating wealth only for themselves, while the vast majority of the people remain languishing in social, political and economic hell.

‎Darkness is therefore created while it’s noon thereby creating social, political and economic doom for the masses, thus purging the actual taste for independence.

At one hundred seventy-eight years old, Liberia remains making a journey in the night, struggling to feed itself, although its soil is naturally fertilized thereby being receptive to germinate any seed.

Hence, as we pray to God, let’s create the necessary wisdom and vision to build a prosperous nation through hard-work and unity.  Let’s remember that prayers never achieve their intended intent and purpose in the absence of unity and hard-work.
