Maryland County D3 Representative, Austin B. Taylor, has dedicated a town hall in Barrobo Statutory District.
The development is expected to boost community infrastructure.
Residents have meanwhile, celebrated the completion of the town hall, which they said, was a long-awaited project that addressed decades of inadequate facilities in the district.
At the recent dedication ceremony, several residents, among them local government representatives praised Taylor for the project.
The ceremony brought hope for improved community services and developments.
“This is a dream come true. We will finally have a proper space for meetings and community activities,” said a one resident.
The facility is expected to boost local governance and community engagement.
Desmond Dugbeh, Coordinator in Taylor’s home office said, the new hall is part of Rep. Taylor’s redirected legislative salary, showcasing his commitment to district development.
Chiefs, elders, youths, and women groups praised Taylor’s efforts, appreciating the comfortable space for discussions and community gatherings.
Building on that, the town hall dedication has sparked mixed reactions. While locals are thrilled with the development, some critics on social media questioned the timing, pointing out past lawmakers’ unmet promises.
